An application for the European Geologist (EurGeol) title must be submitted through one of the EFG’s Licensed Bodies which are authorised to award the title. These Licensed Bodies are the:

Institute of Geologists of Ireland

CNG

Italian National Council of Geologists

GSL

Geological Society of London

ICOG

Spanish Association of Professional Geologists

CHGEOL

Swiss Association of Geologists

ILB

International Licensed Body

The ILB is operated by EFG for applicants who are not members of one of the above mentioned National Licensed Bodies. The applications to the ILB need to be presented by a National Vetting Committee (NVC)

FEES

The application fee amounts to 70€ (34€ administrative charge + 36€ first annual subscription).
For geologists applying via the NLBs details will be given upon submission of the application files to the respective LB.
For applications via the ILB, the EFG Office will issue an invoice to the applicant.
Once the payment has been settled, the ILB will process the application.
Elections are confirmed as soon as your application has been approved by the ILB and the reception of the fee is acknowledged by the EFG Office, after which title certificates are issued and your name appears on the EurGeol register published on this web site.

The following personal data is collected: title, first name, last name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, registration number, photograph, business address, home address, telephone number, fax, email, passport or national identity card details, academic qualifications, sectors of experience, publications, continuing professional development programmes, membership of other bodies and professional occupations. The replies to these questions are mandatory for the evaluation of your application.

The recipients of your data will be the EFG Licensed Body members who will evaluate the quality of your application. Your data will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties.

You have the right to access your personal data and the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
